The software does the boring part

We built our own browser-based editing software, HumanEdit. It is designed specifically for our style of video and automates most of the repetitive work — sound effects, transitions, movement presets and scene cards are already built in.

Work that would take far longer in traditional editing software usually takes around three to four hours once you are comfortable with HumanEdit. You will receive the script, the voiceover, and a channel style guide with every assignment.

Pay and workload

• $15 per completed video up to 10 minutes long.
• $1.50 per finished minute for anything longer — a 20-minute video pays $30.
• At least one video per week.
• Editors who do good work and hit deadlines can ask for more, any time.
• Most people work somewhere between one and six days a week, depending on availability.

What you do not need

• A degree or any certification
• An impressive resume
• Previous professional experience
• Premiere Pro, After Effects or CapCut

• Telling us early when there is a real problem

How you will be judged

You will not be micromanaged. We are looking for people who can understand what is needed, make sensible choices, and deliver reliably.

Previous editing experience is not required, but an instinct for visuals, pacing and what simply looks good will carry you a long way. We judge that from your sample edit and nothing else.
